Across the Sachem Central School District, sS for the disease. Several elementary schools, including Grundy Avenue, Tamarac and Waverly, held breast cancer awareness walks. Students dressed in pink and held signs of support as they walked outside of their respective buildings. At Lynwood Avenue Elementary School, students decorated breast cancer awareness ribbons to display on an honor wall.
