Welcome to the Sachem Central School District Purchasing Office.

The Purchasing Office provides support and assistance with the procurement of goods and services necessary for the educational and auxiliary departments of the District.

The objective of the procurement process is to obtain goods and services in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations that are of the appropriate quality and quantity at the best possible prices.  In order to accomplish this, various methods of procurement are used.

The Sachem Central School District advertises bids and RFP’s solicited by the Purchasing Office in the Legal Advertisement section of Newsday and/or Long Island Business News.  


The Purchasing Office uses a variety of methods to distribute bids, quotes and RFP’s:

  • Solicitations may be distributed directly from the Purchasing Office.   
  • Solicitations may be made available on the Empire State Purchasing Group website.  

In addition to solicitations prepared by the Purchasing Office, a variety of cooperative bids, State and County contracts are also utilized in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
